RESEARCH QUESTION:

​How do digital fitness technologies including apps, wearable technologies, and online content, influence the exercise behaviours and well-being of active individuals across age different groups?

DE​TAILS:

In this project, I explored how digital technologies influence user motivation and well-being through a literature review and in-depth primary and secondary research. Drawing on various theories and models, I examined social comparison in the fitness industry, the impact of wearable fitness technology, and the role of fitness influencers in shaping user behaviour. To bridge gaps in existing research, I conducted a survey, interviews and diary research that revealed key differences in how older and younger users engage with fitness technologies.
